RE: Buying is for real on hold now...

Thanks so much for all of the information given. I really appreciate it. And I am going to keep trying. Perhaps I am already attached to the fiver that I want and I am afraid to make a low offer in fear he will till me to leave and I won't get. I'll just have to get over that or "fake it". I think it may be that my husband leave all the bargain talk to me, but with him with me, I don't think they take me serious. I will try a new approach and get unattached to the unit and try again. Thanks again. We are in the car business and you can trust me on this, they will not tell you to leave. If you do leave and they have you phone number they will call you and try to get you back in.

Is this a good deal?

We know someone who has a 1996 Monaco Dynasty Diesel Pusher with Allison transmission, 45,000 miles. They said the want $69,900. That seems like a lot of money for a motor home that is that old with no slides. Is this a good deal or should I keep looking?

RE: How to detect and tell the extent of moisture in RV walls

There is a cable program called `House Detective' where the inspector carries around a moisture meter to detect moisture inside drywall. I never tried to determine the model of the meter. Seems like a big box store would have something like that. Seems like if it is good for your stick house it would be good for the RV. A little internet searching reveals a surface meter called Delmhorst Accuscan which can be purchased on Amazon.com for $295 with free shipping. It senses moisture through 3/4 inches of wall or floor material. For deeper penetration there is a Pin Meter that makes two holes in the wall to detect deeper moisture. There may be something cheaper on the market. I wonder if cheaper really works? $295 seems like a lot of money but with my tow vehicle that is about two fill ups! The one the guy on "House Detective" carries is about $15,000. I have a small one I bought when I was selling real estate that was about $100. It does a good enough job to find out if there is moisture in a wall or not.

RE: Going to Disney-Need help on best places to take kids in FL.

Don't miss Universal, you kids will enjoy it more than Disney World.

RE: average age?

WOW, this place is amazing! Thanks for confirming what I thought about our "friend". DH and I have told the kids for a long time that we wanted to someday buy an RV and start traveling to see this beautiful country we live in, and if they want to see us they need to be sure and have a plug on their driveway. The big house(burden)is going on the market July 1 and when it sales, we go shopping for our new home, an RV.

average age?

My husband is going to be 65 this month and we have been talking about finally retiring. I want to get an RV and travel. We haven't camped since our kids were small and we had a pop-up and then a small TT. A friend said we might be too old to start with an RV now. When y'all are traveling around and staying at camp grounds, what would you say the average age is?

RE: Camera Suggestions?

I use Picasso 2 to download my pictures and organize them. It's free and does a really good job.

RE: How does the hot water heater fill?

But I have a question, why are you heating hot water? :B I heat cold water in my water heater. My trailer didn't come with a "hot water heater". :B Welcome to the forum, hope you can take some ribbing! :B Been looking to buy one of these "hot water" heaters for forty years and can only find normal water heaters for sale.:h ReM Is this what your talking about? http://www.hotwatersource.com/?gclid=CPy215ChiZMCFQEpxwodjBUSfw
